MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND OUR MEMBER BUSINESSES
Hello, my name’s Emma and I’m an illustrator, embroiderer and maker! I’ve spent the past 24 years working in the design industry and my work has been stocked in many places including Liberty, Fenwick, JoJo Maman Bebe and John Lewis. Over the last few years, I’ve combined my two passions for illustrating and making into one with the embroidery technique called Punch Needle. […]

Here at Equipp, as well as creating inspiring gifts for teens, we’re passionate about celebrating today’s teens and love to highlight their achievements. We’ve worked with teenagers and young adults in various ways since launching our very first collection based on illustrations commissioned from Lilly, a young artist living and working near us in Hemel Hempstead. We now have our own teen research and design team, run competitions for young designers, and feature their writing on our blog.

I’ve continually drawn strength and inspiration from our local businesses, their incredible products and services and the way they’ve adapted […]

It’s been a while since the last Creative blog post but we’re far from finished with this inspiring theme. Continuing on our journey into the world of wonderful creative locals, this week we’re meeting Jo. It would be hard not to love her trademark linocut prints — they’re bright, fun, humorous and really won’t fail to make you smile. Like any good creative business she’s created a product that’s instantly recognisable as her own and yet […]

Through the course of Tring Buzz I’ve become aware of a fairly large and growing type of freelancers in our local area — the creative businesses. With more routes to market such as Etsy and Not on the High Street than ever before and with social media making it easier for businesses to reach the individual, this […]

In my search to source interesting local businesses, I was quick to come across the marvellous Puddingstone Distillery and their Campfire Gin. Not only do they have uber cool branding but…well…its gin! Let’s face it, who doesn’t love a good gin and tonic?! In fact, currently gin seems to be the drink of the nation. […]
